Knitscene Magazine

My copy of Knitscene Magazine arrived this Saturday and I am just thrilled. There were a number of patterns in it that made the decision to get it easy.

The first is the Opulent Raglan sweater by Wendy Bernard. I love the shape of the neckline and the little touches such as the slightly ruffled sleeves.

Next there is the Ahlstrom Bodice by Lou Schiela. Again it was the shape of the neckline and the lovely shaping at the sides.

Lastly the cute and adorable Kimono Socks by Star Athena just made me giggle. I seem to be much better at collecting sock patterns than actually making socks (seeing how I've yet to even cast on my first pair). But these are just so fun.

Of course, I have no idea when I will actually get around to making any of these. And I don't want to think of the cost of buying that much yarn. But it sure is fun to think about and pine for them.

Congratulations on the new blog. And kudos for getting it up during the rush of Blogher. You want to see a knitting store? You should stop by and see my friend Susi at Noe Knit, San Francisco's largest knitting store. I'm not a knitter or a crafter, but I just go in every now and then to absorb the wonderful colors. Plus we keep donating comfy chairs to the stores and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issues to make it "husband friendly."

OMG! I *LOVE* Noe Knits. They have such a nice collection of yarn. I love going in and petting all the skeins. Also helps that they are close to my neighborhood. Yay!

Hey Girl, I know you are in heaven with Noe Knits. But remember, they won't let you sleep there!!

I'm so excited about your projects, and yes, the pictures prove you have come a long way! I'm proud of you.

I made so many needle points years ago - my favorite - and gave them away for gifts. Crochet is my next favorite and then hook rugs.

Maybe when I am old and gray(watch it!) and in the rocking chair on the porch, you can teach me how to knit.

Love ya!
