About Me
Hi there! I'm Chiara Fox. I've been crafting and making things for as long as I can remember. My mother was always sewing our clothes or knitting us sweaters and mittens when I was growing up. It made for an environment where working with your hands was encouraged, fun, and appreciated.
I'm an information architecture consultant, so I spend a lot of time on the computer and designing 0s and 1s. I find working with fiber is a way to center me and bring me back to what is real. It's also just so damn fun!
If it involves yarn or fabric, I've probably tried it. Currently my passion runs towards knitting, quilting, cross-stitch and embroidery, and needlepoint. I'm a sucker for anything Beatrix Potter and love old (read medieval, Renaissance and 18th century) designs.
In addition to being generally crafty, I enjoy cooking, baking, hiking and camping, reading, board games, being with my future-husband and playing with our three cats, Freesia, Horus and Smudge. I also blog about information architecture at Chiara Fox.com and about whatever I find interesting at Chachi In Charge.
